(২) (আনুষ্ঠানিক ও সাহিত্যরীতিতে whom ব্যবহৃত হয়, কিন্তু সাধারণ কথ্যরীতিতে whom-এর স্থলে who বসে) কাকে বা কাদেরকে: Who did you vote for? For whom did you vote?  (relative) (pronoun) (১) (difining বা restrictive clause সম্বন্ধে) দ্রষ্টব্য that 3 যেটি কখনো কখনো who- এর পরিবর্তে বসে) যে, যারা: This is the man who; These are the men who spoke for you. (there + to be এই ছকের পরে relative pronoun হিসেবে who উহ্য থাকতে পারে): There is somebody at the door (who) wants to speak to you. (২) (preposition(al)- এর পরে না-হলে প্রায়ই whom- এর স্থলে that বসে; preposition(al)টি শেষে বসানো যেতে পারে এবং whom - এর বদলে that বসতে পারে) যাকে, যাদেরকে, যার, যাদের: That is the man (whom) I met in Rajshahi last year. That is the man about whom I told you. That’s the man (that) I told you about. (৩) (non-defining clause-সমূহে: এসব ক্ষেত্রে বদলি হিসেবে that ব্যবহার করা যাবে না; clause টি কমা বেষ্টিত হবে): My brother, who once hated nationalism, has now become an ardent nationalist. My sister, whom you met the other day, is married to a journalist. (৪) (independent relative) whom the gods love die young দেবতারা যাদের ভালোবাসে, তারা অকালে ঝরে যায় (whom= যাদের তারা)
