(ঘ) প্রাপণীয় হওয়া; Mangoes are in now, বাজারে উঠেছে; পাওয়া যাচ্ছে। (ঙ) ঢল হওয়া: Bell-bottomed trousers are in again. (চ) নির্বাচিত/ক্ষমতাসীন হওয়া: The Democrats are in. (ছ) জ্বলা: The fire is still in. (ঝ) (ক্রিকেট, বেসবল) ব্যাট করা: The local team is in. (৩) be in for something (ক) (বিশেষত কোনো অপ্রীতিকর) সম্ভাব্য অভিজ্ঞতার মুখোমুখি হওয়া: We are in for an unpleasant surprise, আমরা বোধ করি একটা অপ্রীতিকর চমকের সম্মুখীন। (খ) যোগ দেওয়া; অংশ নেওয়া: She is in for the 100 meters sprint. have it in for somebody প্রতিশোধ নিতে অধীর হওয়া। be in on something (কথ্য) যোগ দেওয়া; শরিক হওয়া: Do you like to be in on this project? day in, day out; week in, week out; year in, year out একটানা দিনের পর দিন; সপ্তাহের পর সপ্তাহ; বছরের পর বছর। in and out একবার ভিতরে; একবারে বাইরে: The old man is always in and out of hospital, (বারবার অসুস্থ হয়ে) কেবলই হাসপাতালের ভিতর-বাইর করছেন। be (well) in with somebody কারো সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলা (এবং তার বন্ধুত্ব থেকে সম্ভবমতো লাভবান হওয়া)। (৪) (বিশেষ্যের আগে): ভেতরকার; আভ্যন্তর; অন্তর্বর্তী: an in-hospital patient, অভ্যন্তর-রোগী-চিকিৎসাকালে যে রোগী হাসপাতালে অবস্থান করে (out-patient-এর বিপরীত)।

(৬)(অন্তর্ভুক্তি -সূচক) -এ ইত্যাদি: 2 4 hours in a day; 2 pints in a quart; a woman in her forties, চল্লিশের কোঠায় বয়স (৪০ থেকে ৪৯ বছর); in the early twenties of this century, বিশের দশকের গোড়ার দিকে (১৯২০ থেকে ২৪ বা ২৫)। There is 20 percent sales tax in the bill, ২০% বিক্রয় করে অন্তর্ভুক্ত। (৭) (অনুপাত-সূচক) -এ; এর মধ্যে; প্রতি… এ: a slope/gradient of one in five. Only two in fifteen candidates could answer the question. (১২) (প্রকাশের পদ্ধতি, মাধ্যম, উপায়, উপকরণ ইত্যাদি সূচক): in German; in this manner/way; in print; in round figure; in a word.
